Armour of God
Introduction Over the next few weeks we are going to think about the Armour of God. I hear you saying, ‘what is that all about?’ Years ago soldiers and knights wore armour; this was often heavy. If you remember when David went to fight the giant Goliath he couldn't wear the armour because it was too heavy. Soldiers don't wear armour today, but many Christians wear armour everyday. Let’s find out about this over the next few weeks so you can too. You ask, how can I wear armour – you may have some in your toy box, maybe you have a fancy dress costumes, maybe you’ve made armour at school when talking about the Romans or the Vikings or Medieval knights. The armour of God is cool, its like having invisible help that you put on everyday to help you stand up and not do the things that you shouldn’t (called sin) and help you do the right thing. The only ways it works if Jesus is your friend So where can we find out about this armour – the bible. It’s in the New Testament book of Ephesians, chapter 6:10-20 Armour of God – Week 1 – The Belt of Truth Armour of God – Week 2 – Breastplate of Righteousness Armour of God – Week 3 – Shoes of the Gospel
